Youth On Their Own (YOTO) is a dropout prevention agency in Southern Arizona. We support Arizona’s homeless youth to stay in school no matter what obstacles they may face. For over 30 years, we have supported the high school graduation of this unique demographic by providing financial assistance, basic human needs, and one-on-one guidance. With the help of our supporters and people like John, we have empowered over 16,000 homeless youth to remain in school and pursue opportunities for self-sufficiency.

During the spring of 2016, YOTO held a fundraising event and silent auction during which we utilized AuctionZoom’s programs PayStation and BidStation.

We were pleased with the idea that we could cut down lines and provide fast and accurate results for the auctions that go on at our events. Our first time using the two program auction software BidStation, and PayStation was an overall pleasant experience. We had only a few people working the event and we were able to set up database for over 300 attendees and an auction with over 200 items. John Foster and his team at AuctionZoom streamlined our organization’s live auction and silent auction process and provided an easy way to complete transactions. What we appreciated most about working with AuctionZoom was their ability to answer any questions, walk us through any procedures, and patiently guide YOTO event staff through any confusions. I would definitely recommend BidStation, PayStation, and John Foster to any organization running a silent auction or raffle as we did. Not only is it a well-developed program database, the customer service is excellent.

It’s amazing what the software does on the day of the event. Things went very smooth Saturday. We learn from every auction and then implement changes and the next auction goes better and better!!!

Also, with your guidance and some of the tutorials I grow more and more confident with backups and restores. The software is very forgiving and it gets easier and easier to manipulate the data. This go around using the Excel spreadsheets was just dreamy!! So easy to make changes and then just import and VOILA!!!

We’re verifying purchases against invoices and I should be able to close out the auction today. The anxiety levels are so much lower than in years past.

As the auction grew to well over 150 items it became so overwhelming to print display sheets & bid sheets as well as to cash guests out at the end of the evening. We purchased both BidStation and PayStation and the execution of our event was flawless! The system is simple to understand, very user friendly and the support from John was outstanding. I am able to analyze the success of our event within minutes of it being over and processing credit cards is a snap. BidStation and PayStation are by far the best applications available in the industry and I cannot imagine doing our event without this system.

Being new to the Development field, I was taking training after training trying to make sure that I was up to date and well versed on how to run a successful event. While taking a training, I came across BidStation and PayStation and was so happy that I did!
Checkout has been reported to be a frustration every year at our event. Between our live ask, silent auction, and raffle items there are a lot of moving parts. Bid Station and PayStation not only created amazing structure for all of our moving parts, it allowed people to leave the event without checking out which almost eradicated the lines at the end of the evening. The pre-registration of the credit cards helped people to spend more which in turn, increased our numbers. Not only were our guests pleased with the ease of the software, they also were elated knowing that the credit cards were encrypted for their protection.

After the event was over, donation tracking was a breeze. I was able to have numbers for the silent auction, live ask and raffle prizes immediately. This software is also able to function off-line which was perfect for our remote garden location.
Learning the software was seamless as well! John created quick tutorials that covered every part of the set up process. When I had any questions, they were answered almost instantly and thoroughly. John was open to communication via phone, email, and text. He believes in the software and wants nothing more for us to be successful in it use.

AuctionZoom gave us the solution for both. It’s almost as if they sat down with me and asked exactly what I needed for my event and auction and then developed the software. It’s a complete package with easy import/export, intuitive reports, credit card pre-swiping, express checkout and more.

One of the best things about AuctionZoom is the customer service. Suggestions, questions, and concerns are always responded to quickly and efficiently. John was even available by phone during my event when I had a question and checked in with me after for a post event review. Top notch!

The fact that I knew that I could reach you at the other end of a phone line if we had had any difficulty truly took off some of the stress of that part of the evening. You didn't hear from me which meant everything went smoothly! I thank you again for that.

Because we have gotten more efficient at collecting "pre-payments" and avoiding the payment lines, it turned out that there were lines to pick up the items won at the auction.

We are so pleased to offer PayStation to our clients as part of our total event planning service because it makes every aspect of the registration and cash out procedures so simple and straight forward.

The Finer Details is a Vancouver event planning company which specializes in organizing memorable occasions in particular, fundraising events. Our fundraisers often consist of live and silent auctions, balloon bursts and several other different ways to generate revenue for our clients. We were looking for a way to streamline our operations.

This year we decided to trial PayStation at one of our fundraising events to see if it would raise the overall level of service and accounting accuracy to our clients and their guests. To our delight, PayStation made a world of difference in many ways. It drastically reduced the amount of people lining up to check out at the end of the night which made our clients very happy. They didn’t have to worry about their guests waiting around to “donate” and allowed them to spend more time networking.

PayStation has also been very popular with our registration staff and volunteers. It has eliminated any kind of disarray when registering guests and made finalizing payments quick and easy. I approached AuctionZoom because we were looking for an innovative way to approach the checkout process during our event. Checkout has been a major stumbling block for us due to the number of guests and the over 150 auction items available for bidding in the live and silent auctions.

AuctionZoom provided a workable and affordable solution for our dilemma. Their software did not require an internet connection and we were able to network several computers together. These capabilities allowed us to streamline our process for the benefit of both our guests and our volunteers.

In addition, by offering our guests the Express Pay option we were able to dramatically decrease the number of guests in line to check out at the end of the night. The results were amazing. People were happy and seemed more open to bidding on items as they know there wasn’t going to be a wait at the end of the night.

However the best feature of AuctionZoom is their customer service. In the weeks leading up to the event they helped us think through our process, reached out the day before to make sure we felt confident and were there the day after to help with payment processing and closeout.

I would definitely recommend AuctionZoom to anyone seeking to manage their charity auctions in an organized and professional manner.
